The Name of the Game DVDThe Name of the Game is a three-series less than one title; it featured Jeff Dillon, Glenn Howard and Dan Farrel as the main characters of each episodes. It premiered on September 20, 1968 and lasted until March 19, 1971 on NBC with total of 76 episodes. Which normally runs only 30 to 60 minutes? The series based on the 1966 TV-Movie, "Fame is the name of the game" where it directed by Stuart Rosenberg. It rotates on three characters such as Anthony "Tony" Franciosa who's a crusading reporter, Gene Barry as sophisticated publisher and Robert Stack as crime journalist. The connection between them was on Howard Publications, its Los Angeles based publishing magazine empire that had built up from scratch by Glenn Howard. The series tackles on the business and political confrontations and their flamboyant lifestyles to make the public aware of the threats from organized crime.
